Why Horse Insurance?

A couple years back, my husband and I were blessed by some GOOD personal horses. Horses that helped us make a living by winning money on the weekends at ranch rodeos and team ropings. Horses that, if we lost them, we would lose income. So we decided to insure a handful of them.
I’m not sure why the saying goes, “as healthy as a horse,” because horses will literally try to die with just a stomach ache! And a little over one year ago, that started happening here when one of ours, Watson, started to colic. One of the worst things in my book is having a horse colic and not being able to do anything for it because of finances. Luckily, we had insurance on Watson! We got to say “DO THE SURGERY!!”
We took him to some of the best vets in Texas, and they did what they could- but in the end, he didn’t make it. While that was hard for us emotionally, what was extremely helpful was the financial part. We were paid out by the insurance company and able to replace that little red roan with another one that can go and do and help us make a living horseback.
If you want a quote on your horses, it’s free. I need to know a few details about them, and we can see if this is something you’d like to do for your four legged friends!
